Luxury Nelson apartment rates 2011

Check in / Check out

No on-site manager. Please phone on or prior to arrival to be met at the apartment. Keys are welcomed to be picked up after 10.00am although servicing may take until 1.00 or 2.00pm

Check out strictly 10am, unless later by prior arrangement. $25.00 per hour will be charged for late check-outs. All check-outs after 12.00 will be charged a minimum of $250.00

Seasons

Winter
Winter in Nelson is a beautiful time of year. It is a lot quieter than the summer and shoulder months but enjoys a temperate climate. Views from the balcony to the snow capped mountains over Tasman Bay is as close as you would get to the snow. And being close to the sea Penthouse11 doesn't get frosts either. Nelson is often recorded as having the highest sunshine hours in New Zealand and rarely experiences the extreme weather conditions the rest of the country does. Average daily temperature is about 13 - 15 degrees. Overnight low 3 - 5 degrees.

The coldest months are July and August and skiing is available at Rainbow ski fields. It is about a two hour drive away. 4WD is needed to get to the top but 4WD buses are available from the bottom carpark.

Shoulder
Mornings can be a bit chilly, but generally it is still warm. Temperatures average about 18 - 20 degrees. Overnight low 8 - 10 degrees. Not as busy as summer but still plenty going on. Local artists, wineries and the Nelson School of Music are all worth a visit and will quite often have events planned.

Summer
Nelson busiest time of the year and warmest. Temperatures average 22 - 24 degrees but can soar up to 30 easily in February. Overnight low 13 - 15 degrees. The safe swimming beach is just 2 kilometres away and has plenty of activities to keep the kids amused. Trains, indy cars, water slides, skating etc...
